Privacy Policy

This policy covers the personal software operated by Gaspar Goycoolea at gaspr.dev, including the Google OAuth application registered as “rclone personal”.
What this application is
“rclone personal” is a set of OAuth credentials I created for my own use. They let rclone, an open-source file synchronisation tool running on my own computer, connect to my own Google Drive account in order to keep a folder on that computer and a folder in that Drive in sync.
It is not a product, a service, or a website that anyone signs into. There are no other users. There is no server, no backend, and no account system: the software runs locally on my machine and talks directly to Google's API.
What data is accessed
When I authorise the application, it requests the Google Drive scope
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive. That access is used for exactly one
purpose: reading, writing and deleting files in my own Drive so that they match the files
on my own computer.
The files themselves move directly between my computer and Google's servers. They are not routed through any third party, uploaded anywhere else, indexed, analysed, or read by any person or system other than me.
What data is collected or stored
None. Specifically:
- No personal data is collected from anyone.
- No data is transmitted to me, to this website, or to any third party.
- There are no analytics, no cookies, no tracking pixels and no advertising on this site.
- No database exists in which anything could be stored.
The only credential that exists is an OAuth refresh token, which is stored in rclone's
configuration file on my own computer (~/.config/rclone/rclone.conf) and never
leaves it.
Sharing and transfer
No data is shared, sold, rented, or transferred to anyone, for any purpose. There are no service providers, processors, partners or advertisers involved.
Limited Use
This application's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used solely to provide the synchronisation described above, is never transferred to others, is never used for advertising, and is never read by humans.
Retention and deletion
Since no data is collected, there is nothing to retain or delete on my side. Access can be revoked at any time from Google Account permissions, which immediately and permanently invalidates the application's ability to reach any Drive data.
Children
This application is single-user personal software and is not directed at, or usable by, children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this address with an updated date at the top.
